The 2019 Cranleigh Lions Classic Car Show

Our 2019 Classic Car Show & Autojumble is on Sunday August the 11th at the
Cranleigh Showground as usual.

This is our 18th show and so far we have not missed a year. We have asked
for better weather this year and in particular a better forecast. A few days
before the event the forecast for the day was dire however on the day the
morning was OK although rain did creep in after lunch.

The bookings for stalls are now open and can be booked online through our
website. The stalls in the barn are particularly popular and always fill
up early on, so we are making some layout changes in the barn to allow us
to fit in more stalls under the cover of the barn.


Bookings for the classic vehicles and car clubs will open on Monday
April 29th and again bookings can be made online at our website.

We are having to make a small increase in the charge for stalls and for
classic cars due to our increase in costs. Part of the increased costs are
due to the ever-increasing demands on us from Health and Safety. At our
first show Health and Safety was covered in a one page document, last year
the document was 33 pages long!

We are well ahead with the organisation of the show and many of the
concessions are now booked. One of the things we are trying this year
is expanding the variety of food on offer from the concessions to try
and cater for different tastes. The band is book and so are the children's
amusements and we are continuing our experiment in trying out different
attractions in the arena as well as our usual features with the classic
cars and clubs.

Planning for the arena is well underway and we will be bringing you some
different events this year as well as favourites. The gymkhana proved
very popular last year and will be returning with a different set of
driving tests for our crews to complete.

Last year we started getting proactive with social media and we are
continuing it this year, so you will be able to follow developments

The show site is very large and our show has got more and more popular
over the years and it does fill up. So please book early to guarantee your space.
