| The Cranleigh & District Lions Club Classic Car Show & Autojumble Newsletter In this issue: Brooklands Trust We were very pleased to announce a few weeks ago that the Brooklands Trust are returning to our car show for the third year. Brooklands are not only bringing with them some fantastic vehicles including their early 1960's Routemaster bus, they are also bring car enthusiast, film, stage and TV actor Graham Cole. Graham raced karts from the age of 14 and during his time as PC Tony Stamp completed 8 driving courses at Hendon Police College so knows a thing or two about drving quickly. Graham will be on the Brooklands stand during the day (and will be signing autographs at various times) and will be part of the Brooklands arena displays at 11.30am and 2.30pm. More information about Brooklands at the car show and a short video shot by Brooklands at last year's show can be seen on our website. Weather Forecast Online weather forecasters theweatheroutlook.com have kindly added a weather forecast for the car show to their website. The good news is that the 19th August is forecast to be a sunny day, 21°C with light winds! Cranleigh Showground is drying nicely after the wet weather earlier this year and shouldn’t restrict the car show provided we don’t have a prolonged period of rain. We will be inspecting the showground again after the Cranleigh Show on the 5th August and will report conditions. The Classic Raffle We have some great raffle prizes again this year, including a light aircraft flight for two, worth over £150 and an Aston Martin Paddock Jacket worth £180. You could win a fantastic prize for a £1 raffle ticket, only available at the car show on the 19th. The raffle is drawn at 3.40pm and there will be plenty of opportunities to buy tickets during the day. Missing Tickets If you register your vehicle online you will be automatically sent an email with a link to a PDF ticket. Sometimes the email gets caught in a spam filter and doesn't arrive. Your ticket should arrive with two hours of registering and if it doesn't, or you have problems opening or printing the ticket, please contact us at classicregistration@cranleighlions.org and please include your ticket number if known (you'll see this immediately after registering) or your vehicle registration number. We'll send you the email again and if that fails we'll post it to you. We will follow up on your ticket enquiry, although it might take up to 7 days to reply. Please note we are unable to respond to ticket enquiries after the 12 August as we're busy preparing for the show. | | | Please share this with others | |
