We're pleased to report that despite the wet weather this year, the showground is dry and firm underfoot and the Classic Car Show is on! Our last inspection was Thursday and in the unlikely event of any change to the showground we will post information on our website (www.cranleighlions.org/classiccarshow) We have over 1,600 classic vehicles of all sorts and sizes registered and over 100 stalls booked in. Brooklands will be bringing a variety of vehicles and classic car enthusiast, stage, film and TV actor Graham Cole. Graham will be on the Brooklands stand during the day and no doubt checking out some of the fantastic vehicles we will have at our show. Entry is £6 for adults, under 16s free and with attractions and stalls for all, it's a great day out for all the family. The Classic Raffle We have some great prizes added to our raffle in the last few days, including a beautiful book by Darren Heath and Maurice Hamilton titled McLaren - The Art of Racing. The book, published earlier this year shows the behind the scenes work that goes on at McLaren to design, build and race Grand Prix winning cars. Tickets cost just £1 and are only available at the show. The raffle is drawn at 3.40pm and if you're not on the showground we will call to arrange getting your prize to you.
