The World Durability Champion: The 1965 Mercury Comet

One of my favorite Mercury’s of all time is the second generation Comet. They only built them for two years. Learn about the 427 powered Merc that won the NHRA Winter Nationals in 1964. We’ll also talk about the Caliente version of the Comet. Finally, review the marketing campaign that ran these cars for 40 days and 40 nights setting a durability record in 1964.
