It's this weekend!

Our annual Classic Car Show and Autojumble is this Sunday, 17th August from 9.30am to 4.30pm and has something for everyone, with around classic vehicles of all shapes and sizes, autojumble, trade and craft stands, food, drink and a jazz band, plus attractions for the kids too.

The show is at the Cranleigh Showground (post code for sat-nav users is GU6 7DW) and there will be local signposts in place. Entry is just £6 and under 16s are free. Parking is free on the showground.

Ed "Stewpot" Stewart to visit the show

Each year Brooklands Museum Trust bring a celebrity to take part in the arena events and be on the stand during the day.

This year radio and TV presenter Ed "Stewpot" Stewart will be visiting the show. Ed is best known for presenting Junior Choice on the radio and Crackerjack and Top of the Pops on BBC TV. See Ed in action in the arena at 11.30am and 2.30pm. We're very grateful to Ed for giving up his day to support our car show and the work we can do with the proceeds of the show.

Mark Evans on the commentary team

We know Mark Evans as a hard working member of the Cranleigh Lions club. Apparently he's also quite well know as a presenter of engineering and animal based TV programmes.

We're delighted that Mark will be on the commentary team this Sunday and will no doubt get over-excited about the tractors on display in the arena at 12.40pm.

1,828 classic vehicles registered

At the time of writing 1,828 classic vehicles had registered for the Classic Car Show on Sunday 17th August. Here's some highlights:

  • Our oldest vehicle is a 1921 Rolls Royce Silver Ghost
  • The furthest distance travelled to show a classic car - Utrecht in The Netherlands, 334 miles (1958 Porsche 356), which you can see in the arena at 11.10am
  • Update in the arena at 11.10am on the rolling restoration of an MGB GT bought days before the 2013 classic car show
  • Barn find Jaguar Mk5 Drophead, built over 2 years from a dismantled car
  • An 1984 Open Manta found in a Spanish barn, bough for £100, shipped back to the UK and fully restored
  • Vehicles from less known manufacturers such as Beauford, Borgward, Domino, Gaz-Volga, Greeves, Imz and caravan manufacturer Winchester

The show opens to the public at 9.30am and entry is just £6 for adults, that's less than half a penny per vehicle! Parking is free on the showground and there are attractions for all - it is a day out for all the family, not just the classic car enthusiast.

Enquiries

Preparing for over 1,800 vehicles and nearly 100 auto jumble trade stands takes time and we'll be spending most of Friday and Saturday on site and we probably won't be able to answer any enquiries before the show.

If you have registered you classic vehicle and not received your ticket by email, please turn up on Sunday and follow the signs for classic cars and then the sign for AA tickets.

Pay on the Day

We have a limited number of pay on the day space available on a first come, first served basis. 5 metres costs £45 and payment must be paid in cash.

Thinking of selling your car?

If you are thinking of selling your car, why not put it into the Automart this Sunday? It costs just £25, which also gets two people into the show and you get two trips around the arena at 10.35am and 2.15pm (assuming it hasn't sold by then).

Follow the signs for Automart once on the showground and once parked please come to the PA caravan for a details form so we can promote your vehicle during the arena slots.
