The second of Jalopnik's two car packs for Forza Motorsport 3 is here! You'll be able to buy the pack, chosen primarily by Jalopnik readers, this Tuesday, December 14th through the XBOX Live Marketplace.
Sadly, there's been some changes — so the car pack's not entirely perfect. Gone, sadly, are the Shelby Omni, Starion, Lancia, Ford Escort Cosworth, Syclone and BMW 6 series. Added, inexplicably, is the Ferrari 250 California. Partly this was due to vehicle availability and partly it was done as a need to balance out the offerings. Still, we're excited to see we got some of the most important cars — like the El Camino and the DeLorean. We also got the Pantera and the Saab Turbo. Muscle car fans got the AMC. Basically, there's something for everyone.

Community Choice Classics Pack - Turn 10 Press Release
The Community Choice Classics Add-On Pack—coming this Tuesday, December 14 to Xbox LIVE Marketplace for 400 MS points—represents two things we love here at Turn 10: classic cars and the Forza Motorsport community. The pack features ten amazing retro rides chosen by the Forza Motorsport fans at the automotive blog Jalopnik. From an opening round featuring more than 100 cars, fans voted to winnow the finalists to a group of 15, from which the final list of ten classic rides were chosen by Turn 10 to be part of Forza Motorsport 3. And what a list it is, representing more than 50 years of automotive excellence.
The fun begins with one of the most recognizable cars of the 1980s (if not of all time), the DeLorean DMC-12, aka Marty McFly's time-travelling ride from "Back to the Future." Sadly, flux capacitors aren't an option in the Forza version of the DMC-12, but the retro appeal continues throughout the rest of the pack. The oldest car available—the 1957 Ferrari 250 California—might also be the prettiest, while the most recent car-the 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II—combines a fun mix of classic Merc elegance with a rear spoiler that needs to be seen (and driven) to be believed. In addition, there's seven other amazing rides awaiting you, including turbo-charged gems like the 1978 Saab 99 Turbo and the 1983 Volvo Turbo Evolution as well as classic American power like the 1971 AMC Javelin-AMX and the 1970 Chevy El Camino SS 454.

As with all of the cars in the Forza Motorsport 3, each vehicle in the Community Choice Classics Pack is recreated in loving detail, with gorgeously reproduced exteriors and fully modeled interiors. When you aren't pushing your favorite car's limits online or offline in Forza 3's huge variety of racing circuits, you can spend your time customizing your ride-from performance-based upgrades to custom paint and vinyl jobs that make every car in your Forza garage a personal statement.
