By Ray Wert 2011 Car and Driver 10Best List Gets Shocking AdditionWe've just received Car and Driver's 10Best list for 2011. A quick perusal tells us this year's big magazine marketing listicle includes some of the usual We completely get some of the winners — like the Cadillac CTS-V, the Mustang GT and even the Sonata — a first 10Best win for Hyundai. We're even able to say the 3-series/M3 deserves inclusion for ad page spend and cross-brand promotions alone. But we're sorry — two or three mid-size sedans (depends on how you count the Volt)? Is the Honda Accord really a 10Best winner for 2011 — especially over the Ford Fusion / Ford Fusion hybrid that also won last year? I mean seriously, I'd add the Buick Regal to this list before the Accord for the umpteenth time. Also, we know the Volt's revolutionary and all, and certainly merits inclusion on this list, but is it, as Car and Driver calls it, "automotive bliss." We think not. We feel like maybe this turkey should be sent back into the oven for some more cooking. It's obviously not done yet. A lot of these are sound choices, but still, take a walk through the full list below and see how long some of them have been hangin' around the magazine's Ann Arbor woodshed.
